How do I get started?
Getting started is simple. Select your preferred product from our Services menu, choose your subscription period, add your vehicle details (brand, model, year), complete your billing information, and finalize payment via PayPal. Your account is activated immediately after payment, and your OBD2 device will be shipped to your address within 3–5 business days.
How does the OBD2 tracker work?
The Metron Tracker is a plug & play OBD2 device that connects directly to your vehicle's OBD2 port — located beneath the dashboard on the driver's side. No wiring, no workshop visit, and no technical expertise required. Simply plug it in, and within seconds your vehicle is live on the MetronTrack platform, transmitting real-time location and trip data.
Is MetronTrack GDPR compliant?
Yes. All data collected by MetronTrack is stored on secure, EU-based servers with end-to-end encryption. We collect only the data necessary for the service and comply fully with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Employees are informed about data collection in accordance with legal requirements, and data retention periods are clearly defined.
Is the digital logbook accepted by the German tax authority (Finanzamt)?
Yes. MetronTrack's digital logbook automatically records all required data points for every trip — including date, start and end location, distance, duration, and purpose. This documentation is fully finanzamt-compliant and can be used directly to prove the proportion of business versus private vehicle use, potentially saving employees up to €2,700 per year in taxes.
Can I manage multiple vehicles in one account?
Yes. Your My Account dashboard gives you a complete overview of all registered vehicles and active subscriptions in one place. You can add vehicles during the checkout process or manage them directly from the My Vehicles section of your dashboard. Each vehicle displays its current status, license plate, and subscription details.
What payment methods are accepted?
MetronTrack currently accepts payments via PayPal, which supports all major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal balance payments. Payment is processed securely at the final step of the checkout process. Once payment is confirmed, your subscription is activated immediately and an invoice is generated automatically.
